Our Mission & Vision

Our Mission

To empower people living with disability through personalised, compassionate and high-quality physiotherapy that supports their goals, independence and wellbeing.

Our Vision

To set a new standard for NDIS physiotherapy by delivering innovative, consistent and client-centred care that helps people reduce pain, improve movement and achieve their best possible outcomes.

Welcome to FITIO

Founded by Pierre du Toit, FITIO combines professional physiotherapy expertise with a personal understanding of rehabilitation. After experiencing a significant brain injury and relearning how to walk, Pierre understands firsthand the challenges, setbacks and achievements that can form part of the recovery journey.

This lived experience continues to shape FITIO’s compassionate and individualised approach. Physiotherapy is tailored to each person’s goals and may be provided at home, in the community, at Parkinson Aquatic Centre, or through hydrotherapy and gym-based rehabilitation.

“I take pride in providing professional, compassionate care grounded in a genuine understanding of the challenges my patients face. Supporting them to make progress, build confidence and regain greater independence is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.”

Meet Pierre

Pierre moved from South Africa to Australia in the early 2000s and transitioned from a career in accounting to healthcare. He completed a Bachelor of Health Sciences, focusing on neuroscience and physiology, followed by a Master of Physiotherapy at Flinders University.

Since graduating, Pierre has gained experience across neurological rehabilitation, musculoskeletal physiotherapy, sports injuries, paediatrics, community care and hospital settings.

Pierre’s Approach

Pierre has a strong interest in neurological rehabilitation and complex musculoskeletal conditions. He supports people to manage pain, improve strength and mobility, build confidence and participate more fully in everyday life.

His approach combines careful movement assessment, hands-on treatment, tailored exercise and practical rehabilitation strategies. Treatment is guided by current evidence and adapted to each person’s abilities, needs and meaningful goals.
